On Tuesday we left Hartford, KY about 11 AM and then drove 85 miles to the Cave County RV Park in Cave City, KY. Our purpose for coming here is to visit our friends Ed & Cindy Kopic who we hosted with at Sunflower RV Resort last winter. Cindy is volunteering here and Ed is working at the nearby Jellystone Park and Resort.
Yesterday I dropped Joyce, Cindy and Ed off at a very large antique mall in Bowling Green and then I went to tour the National Corvette Museum. If you are a Corvette enthusiast or just love cars, you need to go see this place.
After watching a short movie about the development of the Corvette, you walk through the museum and look at some of the most amazing cars in the world. Some of the Vette’s on display are owned by private individual and others are on loan from General Motors. They have at least one car from every year the Vette has been made and some years duplicated with a different body style.
Some of the cars that crashed into the sinkhole on 12 February 2014 are on display including ones that have been restored. Here are some links that you might find interesting:

If you have a purchase a new Corvette, you can elect to have it delivered at the Museum. While I was there a couple of folks were having their new cars delivered so being the nosey guy I am, I listened to one guy going through his briefing. Let me tell you, getting a new Vette ain’t nothing like picking up a Honda CRV. The technician told me that it can take up to four hours to learn all about the car and also take your first ride in it.
Later in the day, we all went to the Lost River Cave to take the tour. I have to say that the tour and boat ride was OK but not even close to the quality of the tours at Carlsbad Caverns.

Yesterday Ed, Cindy, Joyce and I had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel restaurant. Ya gotta love that place even though you’ll blow any kind of diet you are on. Sometimes you just have to get your Cracker Barrel fix.
Later in the afternoon we all went to the Mammoth Cave National Park and took one of the thirteen different tours they offer. We had decided one of the shorter ones, the Frozen Niagara Tour. Last night we went out to eat at Mama Lou’s BBQ in Uno, KY, near Horse Cave, KY. Here’s the deal. If you are ever in that area and you want some really good down home BBQ, ya gotta hit this place.
We reluctantly said goodbye to Ed and Cindy this morning, jumped on I-65 south and made our way to Yuma, TN. We got through the Nashville mess fairly easy and arrived at the Parker's Crossroads RV Park about 3 PM.
I was born not too far from here in Martin, TN and lived in Bradford for the first seven years of my life so in a lot of ways, this area is like home to me. If I can get in touch with a cousin that lives in the area we will stay for a couple of days and go over to Bradford.
‘Nuff for now.
Barry & Joyce
